Athletics Day

On Thursday 13 October we all went to Mt Smart in a double decker bus. First we all lined up on the top court outside Mr Ws room.

Then we got into our year groups at the stadium and the sports began.

Room 2 had to complete some calendar art so Mrs Gibbs looked at lots of ideas. We decided on the Aztec sun design because we could make it bold to stand out on the calendar . Here we are starting our art work.

Danielle after receiving the principals award today also won the drink bottle. She was stoked. Well done Danielle!!

Forward Roll

Today I was doing an activity with Mrs Gibbs. First we started with the handstand and then we did the forward roll on the foam triangle. When I finished I presented then I went on the beam. By Patience.

Movemprove

Today we went to movemprove and first we played a game of stuck in the mud. It was different because when we tagged the person they had to turn into front support. Someone had to crawl underneath them to free them. By Ben, Ahmed and Jash.

A wet day today so we did jump jam

It was wet and we couldn't go outside for a run today so we had Jump jump inside.

Movemprove

Today we had movemprove in the auditorium. We had two coaches. The first was named Nicole and the other one was Pearl. First we took off our socks and shoes. Second we practised our motorbike when we jumped.Next they sorted us into groups. Then each group got to have one activity. After we kept doing our activity until the coach blew the whistle. Wig Wednesday

This morning we had a wig parade. It was fun and silly. It was funnier than me wearing my tee shirt inside out. Then we went back to class after the parade. I saw my brother Cristian from Room 23. His wig dangled. Aryan's wig had a spider web on it and it was awesome. By Patience Ale

Our school Day Flood

Once upon a time , room 2 was eating their lunch inside the classroom. It was raining very hard. It was raining so hard we could see the drains overflowing! We were thinking their could be a flood. The teachers didn't even notice. So we quickly stashed our books and chairs, and got into the spaces that the tables had left. Although I just noticed we had a flood! I thought the electricity would go out since we were watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well, what about the flood.... Oh yes the flood was so muddy nobody could go outside. It was only 15 centimetres from the flood to our class. Jazayas had to go to the dentist so when hazayas's mum came to pick him up , she was walking in a pile of mud. I beat her shoes got wet. Free Apples Day

Today an orchardist donated 600 bags of Apple pieces to school. Room 2 enjoyed eating the fresh crisp apples after lunch.

Buddy time today

On Friday 5 February we met our new buddies and introduced ourselves. Then we taught them our new song " School is Number 1!
